By 2000, Moose moved to Calgary & started playing & recording with guitar legend Amos Garrett. That tenure would last 16 years. During that time Moose started teaching music privately & doing solo gigs, performing songs of his songwriting heroes John Prine, Steve Earle & Kris Kristofferson. It was during this time Moose started writing his own songs. However, bass duties would be a priority when in 2010 Chad Brownlee came calling. Moose played festivals all over North America including several television performances on the CCMAS, Junos as well as several music videos & radio. During that time he also toured with country stars Lindsay Ell & Jess Moskaluke. In 2018 Moose parted ways with Brownlee & immediately started recording & touring with Black Mountain Whiskey Rebellion, which he is still presently part of today. After a busy inspiring trip to Nashville that included a BMWR video & writing sessions Moose decided to write an album about First Nations that fought in The American Civil War, WW1, WW2, Korea, and Vietnam. After much research Moose has written a tapestry of forgotten historical stories & characters, resurrected with honour & respect for his First Nations roots.
