DJ Moni

DJ Moni (she/her) is a South Asian artist and technology educator driven by a passion for social justice and equity. A proud first-generation immigrant raised in Winnipeg, Moni’s nickname—gifted by her mom—has grown into a vibrant creative identity. Her DJ sets are a dynamic fusion of R&B, hip hop, bollywood, house, soca, dancehall, afrobeat, reggae, and throwback gems from the 80s and 90s, reflecting her diverse musical influences and cultural roots. Since diving deep into her craft during the pandemic, DJ Moni has lit up local stages at events like the Sherbrook Street Festival, Winnipeg 150 celebrations, weddings, grand opening for Torrid clothing and beloved community spots like The Beer Can.
