Zoe Theodorou

With a stage presence both rare and unique, Zoe projects the kindred spirits of Ella, Aretha, Chaka, and Whitney into a captivating and vibrant musical adventure. From the silky smooth-jazz undertones of her debut record to the fiery and passionate spectacle of her live shows, Zoe radiates the sincerity allure, excitement, and excellence of her musical ancestors. She is a founding member of Groove Academy – an international cast of uniquely talented diverse musicians and dancers that perform for various audiences, in North America, Asia and Europe. Aside from her many corporate and private shows with Groove Academy in Germany, Mexico, New Orleans, and Canada (Toronto and Calgary), her current credits include being featured vocally on various commercials and jingles for radio and television. Clients include ESPN for specialty programs such as the World Cup and Monday Night Football, Travel Alberta, and Mark’s Work Wearhouse to name a few. Zoe has also been showcased on the nationally syndicated CBC Radio Two show Disc Drive, where she performed live acoustic versions of selected material from her album “Essence of Life”. The album generated a song that won a Canadian Gospel Music award for Best Jazz Vocal. Zoe was recently a featured vocalist in “Rock The Nation”, a retrospective of Canadian music from the 1950’s to current hits which had a successful run at the National Music Centre in Calgary, Alberta. She was a featured performer at the Calgary Stampede Grandstand Show in 2024, and was part of the cast in the recent production of “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” at Stage West dinner theater.
Because of her natural gift to related to people both musically and personally, Zoe was chosen to be in the fourth season of the popular award-winning Canadian documentary/reality show “Taking It Off” which aired on the ONE Network (formerly LIFE Network) across Canada and the Discovery Channel in the U.K.
